Story Behind the art:
I am Amit Jain and I was born in 1980 in the city of Jaipur, also known as the 'Pink City' of India.
Since my schools days, I've been fascinated by fashion and design. I earned a bachelor's degree in commerce and joined my parent's clothing export business. This gave me the space to be creative and innovate clothing designs.
The most interesting part about my work is that it keeps me on my toes to create new designs all the time. There are good times and hard times but the process of learning never ends.
My brother-in-law taught me, but my passion kept me going in fashion. Now I have my own team of workers who give shape to my imagination and design to create high quality apparel.
I established my workshop in 2005 to create women's and children's clothing, scarves, bags and fashion accessories. I work with all sorts of fabric like cotton, viscose, chiffon, georgette, Lycra, silk and knits.
Different people have different fashion sense, so it's very challenging to create things that everyone will like. We plan our collection based on our based on fashion trends and what shoppers like. I have to be thoughtful about designs and what's new.
We have participated in fairs and exhibitions in countries that include France, Australia, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Chile, Brazil and Japan.
I want my designs to reach more people in different countries, and I hope to create a name for myself.
